She has great curly hair cutting techniques and is an ace when it comes to color. Her keen eye ensures you will leave with the right look for you. She also performs our keratin express treatments and loves to do updos.

Matt Hagan- If your lucky enough to get an appointment with him, be sure to take it. His following of customers says it all. He has over 6 years behind the chair and his amazing personality and creative edge are sure to give you that new cut or color you’ve been waiting for.

Polished Salon and Spa, one of the choice hair salons Harrisburg has to offer, universally adheres to the message of this brilliant tag line famously uttered more than half a century ago by avant-garde hair stylist, Vidal Sassoon. Today, men and women from across the globe and all walks of life bequeath an endearing affection for the man whose life is portrayed in the hair documentary Vidal Sassoon: The Movie.

Great fame erupted for Sassoon in the 1960’s with his world-shattering Nancy Kwan bob and five-point haircut, which he perfected on model-turned-Vogue creative director Grace Coddington. Both cuts, along with all Vidal Sassoon styles remained true to his philosophy of cutting hair to suit a woman’s face and bone structure.

Though thrilling, Sassoon’s journey from orphan to maverick hair stylist proves not for the faint of heart. He left school at the age of 14 and worked as a messenger before starting a hairdressing apprenticeship. Although too young to serve in WWII, he became a member of the 43 Group, a Jewish veterans’ militia organization and in 1948 he joined the Israeli Defense Forces.

It wasn’t until 1965 that he opened his Madison Avenue salon. In the same year, Roman Polanski filmed Repulsion over five days in Sassoon’s London salon. Three years later, Vidal created Mia Farrow’s famous pixie cut for Polanski’s film, Rosemary’s Baby. That haircut “brought my name to Middle America,” Sassoon said.

Since then, he has written many books including: A Year of Beauty and Health and Vidal: An Autobiography. He also had the short-lived 1980’s TV series Your New Day With Vidal Sassoon.
